Intec Launches New Module
Intec Telecom Systems is offering InterconnecT Inter-linK, a module that integrates Intec's InterconnecT billing system with other applications. Inter-linK is an automated interface that enables call rating information created in another application, such as a capacity trading system, to be propagated automatically into the InterconnecT billing database. The company says Inter-linK can ease the complex process of changing tariff rates with intercarrier partners and simplify business practices such as advanced buying of interconnect minutes or real-time rate bidding and capacity trading.
Vibrant Adds Rev Man Tools
Vibrant Solutions' latest revenue management tools are commercial off-the-shelf applications that identify and stem revenue leakage in communications service providers' operational and business support systems including ordering, provisioning and billing. Vibrant Solutions' Order Verification and Validation application identifies lost revenue and discrepancies between a carrier's order management and billing systems, including customer errors, under- and over-billing situations, incorrect product features and charges and erroneous rates. Vibrant Solutions' Off-Net Revenue Recovery application examines a carrier's off-net invoice data, inventory and billing systems to identify off-net order errors, over charges, billing errors, and unused or unidentified network capacity for leased circuits and services.
ALLTEL Taps Spirent
Spirent Communications and ALLTEL have established ALLTEL's Special Services Testing Center for remote circuit testing. The testing facility serves ALLTEL's Kentucky service area and allows the nation's second largest independent carrier to perform remote net-work tests across its service area from a central site. This development dramatically reduces the need for field dispatches and related operating expenses, as well as improving mean-time-to-repair.
