Larry LannonV2M has a new website.

The new site features a number of subtle design and architectural changes. Those changes all drive to a single purpose. The new site makes V2M’s premium content much more visible, much easier to find and much easier to engage with than the former site did.

Premium content is at the nucleus of V2M’s editorial mission. V2M cuts through the noise and clutter of the modern business world to deliver the in-depth content around mission-critical subjects that professionals need.

Those premium products include:

  • Reports (deep-dive Reports on particularly critical subjects; delivered as downloadable PDFs free to V2M readers)
  • Digital Issues (digital “magazines" with a mixture of long and short material, and magazine-style graphics devoted to exploring a single topic in-depth; delivered as downloadable PDFs, free to V2M readers)
  • Opinion (challenging blogs by Editor-in-Chief Tara Seals and a host of industry experts)
  • Galleries (slide shows and image galleries related to the major issues and subjects rocking the V2M world)

Now these four types of premium content, along with the latest news, are framed individually in V2M’s “carousel," the most prominent element in the editorial content area of the website, right at the center of the site. Previously, they had resided “under" pull down tabs at the top of the page. The same great content, but housed in a more modest neighborhood. Now that great content is where it belongs: front and center.

V2M tracks the revolutionary changes occurring at the intersection of mobility and video. The mash of new services – and the startling new ways of delivering “old" services, like prime-time television programming – being born at this intersection is reshaping the way consumers organize their business, personal and entertainment lives. In the process, it is creating a new ecosystem of service providers, device manufacturers and applications developers.

This ecosystem wants information in a timely manner – but also wants to peel the onion and understand the remarkable complexity that underlies the functioning of the ecosystem. That complexity drives toward creating the simplest possible user experience, thus maximizing the number of users – and thereby providing renewable energy for the entire ecosystem. V2M’s information creates a feedback loop around startling business and cultural innovation.

V2M lives at that intersection. V2M is a tool for everyone in the ecosystem, a knife to cut through the fog and ambiguity that too often shrouds this exciting, important subject.

Now our knife is sharper than ever.
