Amdocs Ltd., a billing, customer relationship management and directory system solutions company, today announced a seven-year agreement with SBC Communications Inc. to assist its directory publishing business.
The agreement is worth hundreds of millions of dollars and calls for the billing and OSS company to provide computer systems improvements and maintenance to SBC’s directory businesses. IT employees of SBC directory subsidiaries will migrate to Amdocs, the companies announced.
Amdocs says it will provide SBC’s directory subsidiaries daily IT operations, applications development and maintenance, help-desk services, end-user support, implementation services, procurement, facilities and data center services. Amdocs also says the outsourcing agreement covers SBC’s yellow pages, white pages and electronic products, which serve SBC Smart Yellow Pages, across the Bell operator’s entire 13-state territory.
