Accenture, Microsoft Collaborate On Web Services-Based OSS

Two of the big guns in communications, consulting firm Accenture and Microsoft Corp., have joined forces to offer service providers a new set of Web services-enabled solutions based on .NET technology.

The company’s codeveloped a Microsoft .NET-powered version of the Accenture Communications Solutions, a set of preconfigured applications to support customer care, sales, billing, service delivery, enterprise management at business intelligence at service providers of all stripes. Accenture Communications Solutions, which have been available since 2001, is a suite of applications that combine proprietary integration, configuraiton and commercially available software. It has been implemented at more than 20 service providers globally. By using repeatable processes, middleware and configuration, the .NET-connected version of the joint solutions significantly reduces the time it takes to deploy new services.
