Adelphia has tapped RemotePipes Inc. to provide the underlying systems and network for the cable company’s dial-up Internet access solution for customers who are traveling.

"Our broadband Internet customers have asked for a dial-up Internet access solution while they are traveling, and we launched the new service last week to meet that need," says Karl Ossentjuk, vice president of HSI Product Management at Adelphia Communications.

The new Adelphia TollFreeISP offering enables Power Link users to access the Internet while away from home from more than 10,000 locations throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada, and over 100 countries worldwide. The service also includes 100 percent geographic coverage in nine countries including the U.S., Canada, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, France, and New Zealand; all on a "pay as you go" basis.
