SBC Communications Inc. and Yahoo! on Wednesday introduced a co-branded suite of Web services targeting small businesses.
The services can be integrated with SBC Yahoo! DSL and Dial Business Edition, the companies said.
The offers include Web hosting; an ecommerce solution to help small businesses build, manage and market an online store; and business mail allowing companies to create custom email accounts.
The San Antonio, Texas, phone company also introduced a new bundled service, Web Advantage, which gives businesses monthly discounts up to 20 percent per month when they combine SBC Yahoo! Small Business services with SBC Yahoo! DSL or Dial Business Edition. SBC also has unveiled Hosting Connections, a bundled offer that provides monthly discounts of up to 30 percent when businesses subscribe to SBC Yahoo! DSL or Dial Business Edition and a qualifying phone plan.
Some analysts say the regional Bells have turned more of their attention to the small business market in the last year. The biggest local phone companies have developed a number of bundled packages and hired additional salespeople to woo small businesses.
