AT&T Corp. today told analysts it plans to reduce 8 percent of its workforce this year, or 4,600 jobs, leaving the No. 1 long-distance phone company with about 57,000 employees, Reuters reported.
AT&T Senior Vice President and CFO Thomas Horton said AT&T cut 18 percent of its workforce last year, saving $800 million, the news service reported.
