Lucent Technologies Inc. today announced a strategic relationship with BroadSoft Inc. to combine equipment in order to offer service providers a new VoIP solution.
The pact calls for BroadSoft and Lucent to provide joint integrated solutions, development and marketing, Murray Hill, N.J.-based Lucent said. The Lucent solution will incorporate BroadSoft’s BroadWorks network communications platform and several components of Lucent’s Accelerate VoIP portfolio.
Lucent also announced that Choice One Communications will trial the joint solution as it prepares to offer VoIP services to enterprise customers.
