VocalData this week at VON announced it has won the business of Cinergy, hit the 20,000 residential VoIP subscriber mark and signed on systems integrator NEC Brazil as a reseller for Brazil of its application server solutions.
The moves only add to VocalData’s already successful business, says Mark Whittier, vice president of marketing. “Last year we doubled our revenue year over year for the third straight year” and the company expects to do the same this year, he says.
Six-year-old VocalData offers three feature packages, which include hosted business, business trunking and enhanced residential. The application suite encompasses desktop integration, and productivity, mobility and business applications.
Whittier says Broadsoft is VocalData’s key competitor, and notes that his company was able to win the business of Cinergy over Broadsoft, whose solution the service provider had evaluated in a trial. “Every single time we’ve been in a lab trial, tested by customers, we’ve won,” says Whittier.
NTT COMWARE in Japan is VocalData’s biggest customers. Other VocalData customers include PRIMUS Telecommunications Canada, wholesaler Kancharla and regional providers like US Sonet and Ceristar in the United States.
