MCI and VeriSign Inc. have joined forces to deliver security solutions for businesses worldwide.
VeriSign, which sells its Intelligence and Control Services to enterprise and government customers, and MCI will deliver to MCI customers integrated security solutions, including custom offerings and a new strong authentication service.
One of the MCI-VeriSign solutions will be a new co-branded strong authentication service that will be available in May. With this offering, Managed PKI, MCI customers can rapidly incorporate digital certificate-based authentication, privacy and non-alterable digital-signatures into their existing e-mail and Web applications, directories and VPN devices -- without the delays and expense of changing their IT infrastructure.
MCI also announced today new intrusion protection, vulnerability scanning, an anti-virus/anti-spam offering, and new managed firewalls.
