XO Communications Inc. on Monday reported a first-quarter net loss of $48.5 million on $260.9 million in revenue.
The Reston, Va.-based telecommunications provider posted a loss of $20.5 million, or 22 cents per share, on $286.1 million in revenue in the period a year ago. XO generated $130.9 million through voice services and $92.9 million from data services. Revenue from integrated data and voice services totaled $37.1 million.
XO expects to close on the acquisition of Allegiance Telecom Inc. in the second quarter.
