Agilent Technologies Inc. this week unveiled new service test and assurance solutions for converging network infrastructures.
The Agilent N2X does end-to-end testing and emulation of converged voice and data networks. It applies to metro Ethernet, IP/VPN, L2oMPLS for ATM, MPLS, IPv6 and next-generation SONET technologies.
The Agilent OSS MPLS QoS Manager is an assurance solution for monitoring network performance of VPN managed services. It gathers data from active testing and Cisco VPN network elements. The solution’s real-time problem detection, performance reports and service level agreement reporting provide insight to network heath and performance, and transport variables such as jitter, packet loss and latency.
The OmniBER OTN next-generation SONET/SDH analyzer, meanwhile, has been updated to include generic framing procedure, Ethernet payload, virtual concatenation, and link capacity adjust scheme analysis capabilities. The OmniBER OTN gives design and test engineers more complete insight into standards conformance and QoS performance, and help resolve multivendor interoperability problems.
