Worldwide Telco has successfully deployed Excel Switching Corp.'s CSP 2090 as an integrated media gateway, registration server and media server as part of the telco’s Worldwide IP Phone (wIPphone) Internet telephony service for both residential and small business customers.
wIPphone features free unlimited calls to any other wIPphone without any monthly fees, low-cost wIPphone-to-phone domestic and international rates, free phone-to-wIPphone calls, access to the wIPphone network from any regular phone, and Web-based management. The wIPphone service based on the Excel CSP is interoperable with a wide range of hardware and software phone solutions, including a softphone that runs on a PC, a complete VoIP telephone unit, and several integrated access devices that allow the user to use his own phone unit. To test the quality of the service, users can download the X-PRO SoftPhone for free from www.wipphone.com and receive 30 free minutes to more than 45 countries.
Worldwide Telco offers wIP Phone services directly, and they are also available through resellers through private label partnerships.
