New Global Telecom (NGT) announced at the VON Conference & Exhibition in Boston that it will use NexTone’s iView Management System (iVMS) to increase the capabilities of NGT’s IPartition service. The two also will begin joint marketing and sales efforts.
NGT will gain expanded customer Web interfaces and front-end capabilities to power the VoIP partition service. NexTone’s iVMS combines core intelligence with edge management, and provides a common end-to-end view of real-time IP service performance through network interconnects.
NexTone and NGT will perform collaborative product development to enhance NGT’s monitoring and surveillance services on the NexTone platform, and will start joint sales initiatives to promote NGT’s managed services offerings made possible by the NexTone platform.
“NGT’s roadmap aligns very closely with NexTone’s,” says Lee Story, senior vice president, network management services at New Global Telecom. “The growing need for VoIP partitioning services moved both companies toward development of this Web interface for IPartition. And, further collaboration is leading to the imminent release of new NGT network operations services that will make platform surveillance and monitoring capabilities available to all NexTone customers.”
