Telamon Corporation (Booth 624) has launched a new video conferencing product line. Telamon's lead product, the ViewPoint 8220 Videophone, is a 3-in-1 IP video-conferencing solution capable of point-to-point video calls, multipoint video-conferencing and standard analog telephone service. Designed for the desktop, the ViewPoint 8220 incorporates a 5-inch color TFT-LCD display and CCD camera. Both the TFT-LCD display and the CCD camera are angle adjustable and can be positioned independently to accommodate your environment. With a built-in IP router/hub, connections are simplified.
The ViewPoint 8220 Videophone operates from 64kbps up to 512kbps and delivers up to 30 frames per second at 384kbps. Using proprietary Static NAT and SNP protocols, the ViewPoint 8220 Videophone can traverse firewalls and NAT devices without any additional equipment.
Additional proprietary QoS measures allow the ViewPoint 8220 Videophone to deliver smooth video even during heavy packet loss (around 30 percent). The connection rate self-adapts to network traffic to ensure video quality within a changing network environment. The ViewPoint 8220 meets the ITU-T global standard H.323, H.261/H.263/H.263+ and G.711/G.728 ITU-T standards.
Other features include picture-in-picture, fast cut video send, 200-number memory, power-saving mode, Caller ID display, up to 20-number speed dial storage, incoming call ringer light for silent option, last-number redial, switch between local or remote video view, hands-free speakerphone, adjustable video quality settings, volume controls for speakerphone, handset with ringer and automatic software upgrade maintenance.
