Telcordia Technologies Inc. has opened a Brazil-based subsidiary, Telcordia Technologies Telecomunicacoes do Brasil Ltda. The company cites experts who predict the South American telecom market will grow 40 percent over the next three years as a main reason for opening the new branches.
Telcordia’s new offices in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo will work closely with local carriers including Oi, a wireless carrier, and its parent company Telemar. Oi has been using Telcordia platforms and solutions as it has expanded its operations.
