NetCracker Introduces NetCracker 6.0

NetCracker Technology, a provider of OSS and IT infrastructure management solutions, announced today that NetCracker 6.0 will be available for general release in March, positioned for larger users.

NetCracker’s suite of products and services automates and streamlines inventory management and provisioning. NetCracker 6.0 will include full scale multi-language support, advanced clustering capabilities, and enhanced network planning and service modeling functionality.

The enhancements to NetCracker 6.0 include improved MPLS Layer 3 VPN support including automation capabilities for creating client locations, VPN and Virtual Routing Format tables (VRF), support for ATM and frame relay Layer 2 VPNs, additional functionality to simplify modeling of VoIP networks, the creation and editing of multiple objects and fields simultaneously in the network inventory bulk editor, additional device, circuit, path element and channel planning rules incorporated as templates for network design and provisioning, additional configuration capabilities for cabling/cable naming conventions, additional search and filter capabilities available to assist in data analysis and prioritization, and support for multiple data types including plain text, XSL, XML, and data loaded over different protocols including telnet and SSH.
