ADC on Wednesday announced the availability of the OmniReach Multi-Fiber Service Terminal, the latest addition to a portfolio of infrastructure solutions for fiber networks extending to homes and other areas.
The terminal supporting so-called Fiber-to-the-x networks is designed to withstand extreme outside plant conditions and accelerate drop deployment in optical access infrastructure, Minneapolis-based ADC stated.
Tom Kampf, director of fiber solutions with ADC, says the product greatly diminishes the terminal and drop cable installation time for connecting subscribers’ premises to a network.
“Like all of ADC’s OmniReach solutions, the OmniReach MST was built from the ground up specifically for FTTX deployments and has been field-tested and proven to perform in real-world outside plant conditions,” he said in a news release.
