France-based Alcatel has named Mike Quigley as its new president and COO, following the resignation of Quigley’s predecessor, Philippe Germond.
Quigley will report to Serge Tchuruk, chairman and CEO, and will supervise Alcatel’s activities as they relate to the carrier and enterprise markets.
“Mike has gained wide recognition in the world of telecoms and has acquired a broad knowledge of our company,” Tchuruk said in a statement. “I will give him all the support he may need in his new position.”
Quigley has worked for various divisions of Alcatel since 1971. He has served as CEO of Alcatel USA and President of Alcatel North America.
