Indiana Fiber Network (IFN), which owns and manages a fiber-optic network used by a consortium of independent Indiana telephone companies, has decided to use Tekelec’s EAGLE 5 Signaling Applications System (SAS).
The Tekelec platform will let IFN deliver SS7 functionality, call control and network security to its 19 operator customers. The EAGLE 5 SAS also hosts other applications, such as number portability and data acquisition.
