Billing Concepts Inc. said today it is entering into a joint venture with Europe’s Webpay International AG to offer the new payment and billing service, Click&Buy, for online digital content in the United States.
The companies made the announcement at the 2005 Billing & OSS World Conference in Philadelphia.
The agreement will create the world’s most complete online payment service network, the companies say. It also delivers a new payment system for U.S.-based ISPs, telecommunication companies and online digital content merchants.
Billing Concepts will contribute its Enabill payment system to Webpay International’s Click&Buy technology, and Webpay International also will use Billing Concepts’ clearing and settlement functions.
The deal between the two companies already has attracted more than 30 online merchants.
