IMC Networks, a manufacturer of optical access solutions, today introduced a FTTH/business gateway that helps service providers lower the cost of provisioning and delivering VoIP, high-speed Internet and IP video services over Ethernet.
The gateway, named AccessLinX CPE, connects homes and businesses to the Ethernet and IP backbone over a 100mbps WAN uplink. AccessLinX also features two RJ-11 ports for connecting regular phones and fax machines to VoIP services. An integrated Ethernet switch offers three 10/100 ports for customer premises LAN equipment, or for connecting set-top boxes for IP Video traffic.
AccessLinX is available with a 100mbps fiber optic uplink, or with a copper uplink for deployment in apartment buildings and other multitenant installations with Cat 5 copper cabling.
