SBC Communications Inc. has announced an intrusion prevention service to detect and neutralize network threats and previously unidentified threats, such as viruses and worms, that occasionally can bypass traditional security solutions.
The new capability is part of SBC’s suite of “PremierSERV Managed Security Services.”
SBC says the intrusion prevention service uses a network security solution from Mirage Networks that actively monitors and defends a network's interior.
