IPTVComplete customers will be able to choose Minerva Network’s iTVManager as a middleware option, Eagle Broadband and GlobeCast, makers of IPTVComplete, said today.
The two companies will resell and make Minerva’s ITVManager for their IPTV technology that lets broadband providers launch video and entertainment services. “By utilizing iTVManager, we are able to offer a proven, reliable middleware solution to IPTVComplete customers that, when used in conjunction with our Media Pro IP set top boxes, can deliver an exceptional user experience that can help our IPTVComplete customers capture new and retain existing subscribers,” said David Micek, president and CEO of Eagle Broadband, in a news release.
IPTVComplete provides a combination of video content, headend infrastructure, satellite distribution, set-top boxes and operations support.
The Minerva Networks iTVManager client's user interface features an embedded application that responds quickly to heavily used functions, such as menu bar navigation and electronic programming guide scrolling. Minerva says the application ensures that broadcast TV services are always available even if there is a temporary back-office application server failure.
