Vonage Marketing, a subsidiary of Vonage Holdings Corp., this fall will sell Motorola Inc.’s VT2442 VoIP gateway with home networking features to broadband consumers.

The bundle will give users Vonage’s VoIP service and a way to share high-speed connections throughout their homes from one box.

The Motorola VT2442 powers up to two lines of telephone service and supports features including call waiting, call forwarding and caller ID. It also includes a home network router with four Ethernet ports for connecting computers or gaming consoles, as well as an advanced firewall for Internet security.

"By taking two complex technologies – Voice-over-IP telephone service and home networking – and bringing them together into a single product, the Motorola VT2442 is making the Vonage service even more convenient for customers," says Charles Dougherty, corporate vice president and general manager of Motorola Connected Home Solutions.
