Iowa Telecom has contracted equipment supplier CopperCom to install its Converged Switching eXchange (CSX) switches as the carrier migrates from a legacy to an IP network.
The immediate deployment is part of the multimillion dollar Connect Rural Iowa initiative Iowa Telecom announced last year.
Iowa Telecom says the CopperCom CSX switch will let it provide next-generation services to its business and residential customers.
