Airspan Networks Inc. and Sequans Communications have completed interoperability testing among some of their products, to meet requirements for the WiMAX Forum certification process.
Interoperability now is verified among Airspan’s EasyST and ProST CPEs and Sequans’ AS.MAX MicroMAX-SOC Base Station.
WiMAX Forum Certification testing is underway at Cetecom labs in Spain, and the first WiMAX Forum Certified products - those that conform to the standard and work with other vendors’ products - are expected to be available later this year.
