Avaya Inc. today announced a reseller agreement with Meru Networks, a developer of wireless VoIP infrastructure.

The deal calls for Avaya to resell Meru Networks' WLAN portfolio; Avaya’s solutions providers will be able to sell the resulting products and services to keep workers connected as they travel across corporate campuses.

Meru Networks' WLAN architecture enables access points to work together to deliver IP voice for mobile enterprise users, including those on Wi-Fi handsets, the company says. Avaya's agreement with Meru Networks applies to the following Avaya and Meru Networks products and solutions:

• Avaya Communication Manager IP telephony software

• Avaya Media Servers

• Avaya Voice Priority Processor

• Avaya IP Office 403

• Avaya 4600 Series IP telephones

• Avaya 3616/3626 IP Wireless telephones

• Avaya IP Softphone and Avaya IP Softphone for Pocket PC

• Avaya Phone Manager Pro

• Meru AP-200 Access Point

• Meru MC-500, 1000 and 3000 Controllers

Meru recently was named a Premier member of the Avaya DeveloperConnection program, which certified the interoperability of Meru's WLAN system with IP telephony systems from Avaya.
