BelAir Networks Inc. and PacketHop Inc. are partnering to provide their products and services to police, fire, emergency services and other first responder agencies.
BelAir specializes in wide-area wireless broadband for metro-scale deployments, while PacketHop develops mobile mesh networking software and multimedia applications.
The combined solution will give first responders access to mobile broadband communication on 802.11-enabled devices.
“PacketHop’s autonomous mobile mesh networking software and powerful multimedia applications are ideally suited for BelAir’s high-bandwidth network,” said Bernard Herscovich, president and CEO of BelAir Networks, in a news release.
