Profitec Announces Major Enhancements in OmniBill 7.8

Profitec Billing Services, a Wallingford, Conn.-based billing service bureau, has released a major version enhancement to OmniBill, the master database and client administration system that is the core of the company’s OmniSuite line of billing and OSS products.

OmniBill version 7.8 provides increased functionality that benefits a range of marketers, Profitec says. The enhancements include complete foreign language billing in French and Spanish; six-digit costing for wholesalers and those who market to enterprise accounts; automatic calculation of historical deactivation credits; and the release of both a generic and a customized VoIP activation offload for IP switches.

OmniSuite combines Web-based sales channel management and on-line consumer signup and E-billing systems with Profitec’s service bureau billing to provide a single-vendor solution. OmniSuite supports order entry, activations, workflow management, customer care and CRM, receivables management, trouble management, and commission and sales channel management.

The consolidated approach unifies billing, order entry and customer service for all products, makes back offices more efficient, reduces labor costs and elevates levels of service to end users, Profitec says.
