In yet more VON announcements emphasizing the importance of applications and convergence in the VoIP realm, Veraz Networks has extended its service delivery platform and library of native protocols to enable them to work on wireless networks and with wireless devices. The company also now offers the Veraz Messaging Solution that lets subscribers access and manage voice, fax, e-mail and video messages from a single mailbox using the device of their choice.
The first announcement entails adding wireless protocols to the existing Veraz service broker, says Ed Camarena, senior director of product marketing. He adds that since all service logic and session flow on the company’s systems are done through XML, it can easily add such new functionality without the need for a major new software release.
Veraz offers the messaging solution through its partnership with application company CTI2.
