Emergent Network Solutions Inc. said today it is developing an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) capability for its Emergent Network Telecommunication Infrastructure Control Environment (ENTICE) call control platform.
The new version of ENTICE, now in trials for a market release in the first quarter of next year, will allow VoIP service providers to offer value-added features, including instant messaging, push-to-talk, video streaming and conferencing.
The ENTICE portfolio includes softswitch, session controller and broadband residential/enterprise VoIP for the wholesale and retail VoIP markets.
“Adding an IMS-compliant call session control function, or CSCF, to ENTICE keeps our platform at the forefront of VoIP technology,” says Nathan Franzmeier, CEO of Emergent Network Solutions. “This new capability will allow VoIP carriers to offer a truly flexible and ubiquitous service offering across networks regardless of the physical topology.”
