TexLink Communications this week said it has chosen the Tekelec 9000 Distributed Switching Solution (DSS) to help it provide next-generation voice and data services.
The Texas-based CLEC says the Tekelec 9000 DSS enables it to offer customized voice and data services to SMBs in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.
The platform also allows TexLink to provide next-generation switching features and functionality to larger UNE-P operators in the state, for less money.
The Tekelec 9000 platform supports TDM and IP architectures as well as distributed gateway functionality.
