Covad Communications Group Inc. is using Redback Networks Inc.’s SmartEdge Service Gateway Platform to bolster network capacity and support next-generation services.
Covad is expanding its network to include WiMAX subscriber aggregation and MPLS VPNs session control, and says the Redback platform accommodates those plans.
Redback says SmartEdge also helps Covad provide “smooth delivery” of business-class VoIP.
