The New York State Public Service Commission has approved the pending acquisition of MCI Inc. by Verizon Communications Inc.
The decision follows the transaction last Friday by the California Public Utilities Commission.
The FCC and U.S. Department of Justice both have approved the Verizon-MCI combination.
