Alcatel and Tekelec today said they have extended their OEM agreement for another three years, which means Alcatel can keep using the Tekelec 8000 Media Gateway in its mobile next-generation network, particularly the Alcatel 5020 Wireless Call Server.
Alcatel also can use the gateway in its fixed and mobile deployments, the companies said.
The French equipment vendor has sold its mobile next-generation network to operators including T-Mobile USA, Dobson, TA Orange and Celcom Malaysia.
