Bill Gates, Microsoft Corp. founder and chairman, last night gave his tenth keynote speech at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Among the issues he addressed, Gates highlighted the Windows Vista operating system upgrade slated for release sometime this year, the International Herald Tribune (IHT) reported.

Gates also talked about Microsoft’s Xbox game console and software designed to help consumers network their PCs and gadgets, IHT said.

"Consumers are getting more and more connected, and software is at the center of that,” the IHT quoted Gates as saying.
