Softswitch maker CopperCom Inc. said today six IOCs in Iowa have replaced their Mitel switches with CopperCom’s Converged Switching eXchange (CSX) softswitch platform.
The providers are: Titonka Telephone Company, Fenton Cooperative Telephone Company, Brooklyn Mutual Telephone Company, Minerva Valley Telephone Company, Ellsworth Cooperative Telephone Association and Farmers Cooperative Telephone.
The carriers all said they chose CopperCom for the company’s ability to transition them to IP services over time, while continuing to provision traditional phone services in the interim.
