VoIP telecommunications provider IP Telesis is using General Bandwidth Inc.’s G6 Universal Media Gateway to add integrated voice and data services to its hosted PBX offerings.
“[W]e chose General Bandwidth's G6 platform because of its scalability and interoperability," said Brian Pettersen, president of IP Telesis. “The addition of the G6 platform to our network immediately creates new revenue opportunities, allowing us to improve our competitive position and offer customers additional value."
The G6 Universal Media Gateway is an open-standards, circuit-to-packet platform that enables voice communications between packet and circuit-based networks. It is installed in a switching office, headend or PoP.
