ADC, Aperto Sign OEM Deal

ADC has entered into an OEM agreement with Aperto Networks, a developer of WiMAX base stations and subscriber units.

Aperto is incorporating its PacketMAX technology into the line of Digivance WMX WiMAX products, which includes a base station certified by the WiMAX Forum.

The Digivance WMX 5000 hardware operates in licensed and license-exempt bands. Based on Aperto's PacketMAX technology, it complies with the Advanced Open Telecom Platform open standard.

The Digivance WMX WiMAX solution accommodates up to 12 wireless sectors in five units of rack space.
