In an effort to speed adoption of its VoIP services, i2Telecom International Inc., creator of the VoiceStick, has signed a deal for computer maker Exxiss Technology LLC to distribute more than 500,000 downloads of its application through Exxiss’ laptops.
The agreement means Exxiss will offer i2Telecom’s international and domestic VoIP calling services to its customers. In addition, said Chris Bylander, CEO of Exxiss Technology, “we can provide our customers with a telephone number along with this VoIP service. This capability will be built into the Exxiss computer systems platform and offer a great cost benefit to our enterprise customers.”
Exxiss Technology makes computers with theft protection, theft tracking, fingerprint authentication, video conferencing and customer-specific branding.
The pact “will allow i2Telecom to acquire customers in a low-cost manner and enable us to expand our user base in markets that have previously been unavailable to our company,” added Paul Arena, CEO of i2Telecom.
