Allied Telesyn, a provider of secure Ethernet/IP access solutions that is exhibiting at the United Telecom Council show in Tampa, Fla., announced on Monday it will deploy its iMAP platform for Integra Telecom.

Integra Telecom is a carrier headquartered in Portland, Ore., and is launching an IP access platform. Integra said it selected the iMAP because it supports multiple services simultaneously on one platform.

"Integra is entering a period of rapid expansion, and we need a platform that enables us to roll out sophisticated services while meeting the demands of business consumers," said Dave Bennett, vice president of network planning and engineering for Integra. "We feel the iMAP will ensure we minimize our operational expenses as well as enable new revenue streams as we expand our network."

Integra Telecom serves 23 metropolitan areas in eight states.
