MERA Systems, a supplier of VoIP softswitches and session controllers, has released its MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch - MVTS II.
The softswitch has been field-tested on the networks of VoIP carriers in Russia, Europe and other countries, and will be commercially available in June. It supports SIP and H.323, transcoding capabilities, call routing mechanisms, and operation analysis and reporting tools, all in an effort to increase the efficiency of VoIP traffic, the company said.
MVTS II also provides operation analysis and reporting tools that analyze all parameters in a VoIP network and monitor its performance in real time. The system further generates reports and alerts for operators and customers.
