Syndesis on Thursday unveiled Syndesis Express, a new group of fulfillment products that help providers rapidly define, deploy and fulfill services including IPTV, triple/quad play, unified messaging and video conferencing.
The new offering is made up of Syndesis Service Creator, Syndesis Application Configuration Manager, Syndesis NetProvision, Syndesis Service Manager and Syndesis Management Console.
Syndesis Service Creator contains components that help providers automatically configure QoS, bandwidth, security, routing protocols and underlying transport technologies.
The application configuration manager enables providers to differentiate content and applications. It uses application modules that work with delivery services such as VoIP feature servers, IPTV middleware, e-mail and messaging servers, gaming servers and other service delivery platforms.
Syndesis NetProvision provides network connectivity design and activation. This enables flow-through provisioning of end-to-end data circuits for technologies including gigabit Ethernet, FTTN/FTTP, VoIP and ATM, as well as multiple equipment vendors.
Syndesis Service Manager automates fulfillment and provides the view of subscribers’ services and applications in real time. Finally, Syndesis Management Console includes features such as subscriber-centric order verification and network repair.
"As [service providers] introduce new mobile and residential broadband services, their customers demand easy, rapid service activation,” said Larry Goldman co-founder and senior analyst at research firm OSS Observer. “As a result, [they] are looking for fulfillment solutions that span the application, connectivity and device domains," said Larry Goldman co-founder and senior analyst at research firm OSS Observer. "More than ever before, they need to link their subscribers with the associated network and services."
