Akimbo Systems, which provides Internet VoD service for television, has secured $15.5 million in Series C funding led by Internet networking company Cisco Systems Inc. and AT&T Inc., which also has forged a deal to offer Akimbo’s VoD programming to its AT&T Homezone customers later this year, Akimbo said Monday.
Akimbo, with a library of more than 10,000 videos and movies on demand, supplies Internet VoD to communications technology and consumer electronics companies looking to include its programming as part of their home entertainment packages.
