Iowa’s Grand Mound Cooperative Telephone Association has replaced its legacy Class 5 switching system with CopperCom’s Converged Switching eXchange (CSX) next-generation switch.
The deployment will help the CLEC expand; its growth plans include a FTTH rollout and the addition of IP services including VoIP.
“The main reason for our upgrade to the CopperCom CSX from the legacy softswitch was to support our ongoing CLEC push,” said Mark Harvey, general manager of Grand Mound Cooperative Telephone Association. “The CopperCom CSX has enabled us to move forward with that process while bolstering our service offerings to include next-generation technologies.”
