Entone Technologies Inc., an IPTV VoD solutions provider, announced on Monday that Arkwest Communications has chosen its IPTV VoD solution for a rollout in Arkansas. The new broadband video service will allow Arkwest to provide a bundled triple-play service offering that includes local phone service, high-speed Internet and digital TV.
Arkwest's IPTV service will offer more than 200 TV channels and 1,500 hours of movies on demand, and will be available to Arkwest's 6,000-plus residential customers.
To support its IPTV VoD launch, Arkwest has selected Entone’s StreamLiner network video recorder and Ingest Gateway, an integrated software solution for managing the ingest process of pre-encrypted digital assets and associated metadata.
Entone’s StreamLiner is a software architecture that transforms server and storage hardware from vendors such as HP and IBM, into video servers that ingest, store and stream on-demand video programming, the company said.
