Openwave Systems Inc., which provides open software products and services for the communications industry, recently announced the Openwave Audio and Video Ringback platform, a content plus infrastructure solution. The new solution includes Openwave's IP-based Adaptive Messaging Platform, as well as a content management platform and broad music content catalog from Musiwave, an Openwave company.
Already in trials with a leading U.S. operator, the Openwave Audio Video Ringback platform supports both wireless and wireline service providers and is designed to create a customized and personal mobile experience. The solution allows users to set personalized ringback notifications that can be played to specific callers or groups of callers, by choosing a favorite artist or track, in either audio or video format. Users can access Musiwave's content management platform which includes access to a catalog with a wide range of ringback tones, videos and celebrity greetings.
