Tekelec recently unveiled AMA Creator, a new module in the company’s integrated applications solutions (IAS) that supports the comparison of switch-based billing records and SS7 call detail records.
The new product enables more precise revenue management by providing a fix for records that have missing or corrupted data or that have been lost altogether. AMA Creator allows operators to compare switch-based billing records for intercarrier or interconnect traffic with SS7 call detail records. If data is missing from the switch-based records, the AMA Creator extracts the missing data from the signaling-based CDR. Records can be compared and a new record created from data extracted from both signaling and the switch.
AMA Creator will be available in third quarter 2006 and is part of Tekelec’s flagship IAS suite consisting of real-time data collection, correlation and processing. Data collection may be completed via standalone IMS-ready probes, or it may be integrated into Tekelec’s EAGLE 5 integrated signaling system (ISS) platform. The suite gives operators tools to generate critical business intelligence for revenue assurance as well as network and service performance management. IAS combines the ability to collect and analyze network intelligence through market-leading signaling and switching solutions with real-time business intelligence and performance management capabilities.
