Vyvx, a subsidiary of Level 3 Communications Inc., on Tuesday announced the introduction of a new capability that enables the electronic collection and distribution of HD advertising content to broadcasting destinations.
Utilizing its coastto-coast distribution network, Vyvx can reach stations with rush service by transmitting HD spots from advertisers, advertising agencies, studios and post production houses to broadcast destinations across North America. Electronic transmission delivers HD ads almost immediately and streamlines the distribution of HD commercial content.
"As HD programming gains in popularity, HD ads are becoming increasingly important to our clients," said Diane Marshall, manager of media operations at Starcom. "Vyvx’s HD network has the capability to provide us with support in reducing our distribution time, thereby gaining more time that we may need to develop, shoot, or finalize time-sensitive HD ads."
